A New Adventure – Living Limitless!

Life is so interesting. I used to dream of living in a city – somewhere big and exciting where I could meet a lot of new people and enjoy all the things to do. I moved to a small, farm community. At least it was when I moved there – more than 40 years ago! I was hired to work at 3M – in Data Processing (that’s what they called it back then). I built a lot of great relationships, made some life-long friends – many of them, actually. Met and married my husband, raised 3 incredible children, and had more adventures than I bargained for!

So selling our home after living in it for 39 years, 52 days was quite a change for us. It took us over 2 years to downsize, update, list, sell and move. And it was one of the hardest things – physically and emotionally – that I ever did. I thought I would cry when we actually left, but I didn’t feel emotional at all. The house was just an empty house. With a bazillion memories of course, but the good times are coming along with us. And we’re happy that a new family with 3 boys are going to keep that house jumping and active.

So we find ourselves living in our son and his partner’s VRBO in Rochester, MN. What a blessing. We were able to move all of our belongings into storage, and have the luxury of time to continue to look for a location and home that will serve us in the years to come. I cannot imagine the stress of moving out and in on the same day – and so happy we have this cute house to land in for a while.

So – we’re having adventures. Figuring out where all the necessities are in a new town is one of them. This town is a lot bigger than Hutchinson! I feel like I’m playing house here – and with so much extra time (compared to the past 2 years), I’m enjoying some creative time! The funny little guys were my project yesterday. They’re out on the porch viewing the traffic – and wishing everyone a happy holiday season!
